SCORCH is out!!! And a very sincere THANK YOU!

But before I end this blog post (and go back to finalizing my blog tour interviews!), I really want to say thank you. 

On every other publication day, from Ignite to Blaze, I've been completely ecstatic--smily all day, jumpy with excitement, and generally hyper. But something was different with Scorch. Something I didn't really expect. I woke up sad, not completely depressed, but there was this sort of cloud hanging over my mood that I couldn't shake. And I tried--because I've been SO excited to share Scorch with you all--but nothing worked. Until I realized what the problem was--the Midnight Fire Series was completed. 

I've known for a long time that Scorch would mean the end of the series, but it never really hit me until today--I think I was ignoring it a little. Because I love this story, and I adore these characters, but most of all I am so truly grateful for all of the readers who have taken this journey with me.

So as soon as I saw that Scorch had gone live, I turned to you guys. I posted a note on my Facebook wall and here was the immediate response: 

So THANK YOU!! Thank you to everyone who has ever reached out to me and to everyone who has enjoyed my books from afar. Not only have you taken this amazing journey with me, but right when I was afraid that Scorch would mean the end, you reminded me that the Midnight Fire Series really is just the beginning.

I'll write more books, I'll invent new characters, but I hope that all of you will be with me for the long haul. 

Cheers to the future! It's going to be amazing! 

But for now, Scorch is on-sale and I truly hope you love it! 

So Long 2012... A Year-End Wrap Up and Look Forward!

 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I know... I'm a few days late - I'm sorry! 2013 is already shaping up to be a busy and crazy year, but an great one too!

But before I go on and on about the future, I want to take a look back on 2012 -- the year my writing career truly began! And man oh man what a year it has been!

2012 At A Glace:
- Ignite got a new cover and became free!
- Simmer was published and had an amazing month-long blog tour!
- Blaze was put on-sale alongside an amazing giveaway that connected me to a ton of new blogging friends!
- Scorch got a title, cover and first chapter reveal!

2012 By The Numbers:
Amazon Sales:
      - Ignite sold over 50,000 copies!!!!!
      - Simmer rolled in just under 15,000!
      - Blaze settled at just under 10,000!

[quick pause while I freak out...]

Smashwords is still compiling their 2012 year-end numbers, but I'll hopefully have them soon! So far, Apple and Barnes & Noble have about 5000 sales each.

AMAZING!!

Seriously, I never dreamed that in one year I would go from having just under 1000 copies of Ignite out in the world, to having thousands of copies of three different titles sold. It is truly just unbelievable!

But more so, I never in a million years thought I would ever connect with so many people. A year ago, I had maybe 20 followers on Facebook (99% of which were my family and friends). Now, I'm about to go over 850 Facebook fans, which in itself blows my mind. And even more incredible, are the posts, emails, tweets and reviews from all of you! There is really nothing more amazing than hearing that someone loved my book, is anxiously awaiting the next installment, or stayed up all night because they just couldn't put it down!

I feel so blessed to have so many devoted and amazing readers, and that is really the best thing that happened to me this year. So, cheers to 2012--a year that I will certainly never forget!!

Oh, and one more thing happened this year in case you missed it -- I made a fool of myself in a promo video! Please watch it and spread the word... and try not to tease my dance moves too much :)

Now onto 2013!! 

I'm all about goals and resolutions, so I thought I would share what I have so far! 

1) End the Midnight Fire Series with a BANG and publish Scorch!!! (Don't worry! It's not the last you'll see of this world--I have some prequel ideas and even some ideas with new and old characters!)

2) Make paperbacks available! (I am so excited for this!! There will definitely be signed copy giveaways involved!)

3) Start my new series! (I have an idea I am REALLY excited to pursue!! I'll share more details when the time nears! Until then it's Scorch, Scorch, Scorch!!) 

And now, the mega-crazy, in-my-wildest-dreams, would-pass-out-if-this-happened wish list! 

1) Hit a bestseller list 

2) Get in-store placement 

3) 500,000 free downloads of Ignite (holy moly that is a huge number... breathe...just breathe...)

4) Host a book-signing where I can actually meet all of my awesome readers!!!

Okay... time to come down out of crazy land! But hey, everyone has got to have dreams right?

November was a GREAT month!!

Happy December everyone!! Before I put my Christmas gear up, I want to take a look back on November, which has been a truly amazing month! 

I haven't posted in a while, but that doesn't mean I don't have a ton to say. 

First up, SCORCH update!! 

NaNoWriMo was a complete blast! I ended up reaching about 25,000 words, which I know to some NaNo writer's is pitiful, but for me it was a great writing month. I'm taking things a little slower with Scorch because I want to make sure it is perfect, and so far I'm loving the story line. I'm only seven chapters in and already there's been some crazy fight scenes and some great romantic moments :) 

And--to give you something to look forward to--I've already decided what everyone's Christmas present from me will be...

wait for it...

The first chapter of Scorch!!! I'm going to reveal it on my Facebook page on Christmas day, so be ready for a little reading :)

In other news, sales have been truly AMAZING this month! Making Ignite free was one of the best decisions I've made as a writer. Not only are tons of people reading and enjoying it, but tons more are continuing the series and that just completely warms my heart.

Here's a stat breakdown for Amazon alone:

• Ignite: 30,039 downloads!!!!
• Simmer: 2978 purchases!
• Blaze: 2436 purchases!

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten any updates through Smashwords about my iTunes or Barnes&Noble sales, but I'm pretty excited to see what they were because...

Simmer and Blaze were in the Top 50 Children's eBooks for almost the entire month on iTunes!!! And, my sales rank soared at Barnes & Noble. 

And after all of this amazing news, I only have one more thing left to say...

Seriously, I feel like so many of my dreams are starting to come true and you readers are the reason why! THANK YOU for all of your support, kind words, enthusiasm and general amazingness!! Thank you!
