Happy New Year! My 2020 Resolutions!

Happy New Year!!

As a proud dog mom who did kiss her pup at midnight...I adore this gif! 😂😂If you missed my year-end wrap-up for 2019, you can go read it now :) Today, I want to look ahead because 2020 is shaping up to be an incredible year! The excitement is already mounting for The Raven and the Dove, and I have so much more planned. I'm so ready to roll full-steam ahead into the new decade!

Without further ado...

My Top 5 Author Resolutions of 2020!

I've been talking about this book so much recently, I'm not sure what more there is to say except it goes on sale on March 9th, and I can't wait! Early reviews have been fabulous, and I'm so excited for everyone to read it! I'm deep into the manuscript for book two, and I've got so much more in store for these characters. This series is going to be a wild ride and I can't wait for you all to join me on the journey :)

Ebooks, paperbacks, and hardcovers are available to pre-order now. If you live in the US, you might want to check out the pre-order giveaway I'm hosting. And it'd be wonderful if you would add the book on Goodreads to help me spread the word :) Stay tuned for teasers and more reveals in the next few weeks!

2) Publish more audiobooks!

I absolutely love producing audiobooks! Listening to a narrator bring my characters to life is the most amazing experience—I can't get enough! I've heard so much talk that audiobooks are on the rise, and that they're the way of the future, converting more of my books into this format is a win-win. First, I'm planning to publish an audio edition of The Raven and the Dove, and then I'll return to my backlist :)

3) Sell more translation rights!

If you saw my 2019 round-up, you may have read that I sold my first foreign translation rights to Eksmo, a Russian publishing house. As an indie author, seeing my books translated and sold across the globe isn't something I ever imagined achieving. BUT now that I have, I want to sell more! I'm currently in negotiations with another foreign house, and I'm hoping to land a few more deals in 2020. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

4) Publish more hardcovers!

The Raven and the Dove is the first book of mine that has been available to pre-order as a hardcover, and holding that edition in my hands is so special. I'll never go back to paperback-only again! I'm in the process of publishing hardcovers of my Once Upon a Curse series (Gathering Frost is currently available). My goal for 2020 is to release hardcover editions of my entire backlist!

5) Launch a new romantic comedy series!

This is my stretch goal for the year! Most of my time will be spent working on The Raven and the Dove (these books are so long!), but I don't want to forget my pseudonym. I have a fun idea percolating that's a play on The Bachelor—definitely a guilty pleasure of mine! I might not get a new book published this year, but I'm hoping to launch a cover and pre-order before the end of year!

Phew! Those are my top five resolutions!

It'll definitely be a busy year, but hopefully in the best way possible :) Like every year, I'm sure 2020 will hold its own surprises, and I can't wait to see what they'll be.

Since I'm a reader as well as an author, I also want to include my...

Top 5 TBR Books of 2020!

1) King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

I'm a huge fan of the Grishaverse books and Nikolai was one of my favorite characters from the original trilogy, so I can't wait to read his new duology! I've heard amazing things!

2) Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson

This cover...need I say more? I've wanted to read this ever since the reveal. The reviews have been fabulous, so I'm eager dive in!

3) Well Met by Jen DeLuca

Enemies-to-lovers? Renaissance fair? What's not to love? The cover is so cute, and all the reviews I've read have said wonderful things. I'm so excited for a new rom com to fly through!

4) Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

Colleen Hoover is one of my favorites, so it's a no brainer I'm going to read (slash devour) her new release. It's on my kindle, so I'm picking this one up next!

5) House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas

I'm super curious about Sarah J Maas's first official adult release. The cover is stunning, and all of her books always manage to draw me in. I can't wait to give this one a try!

And a few more because these covers are to die for!!
